Apprentices train at New School Farm for a period of 3-5 years. The apprentices learn to farm on our available land, side by side with a farm mentor. While they are gaining the skills to run a successful small-scale farm, they are growing their businesses.

In addition to one-on-one hands on learning with a farm mentor, the apprentices attend regular classes from community members to enrich their knowledge. Once they have completed theirapprenticeship, they will have a customer base and marketing strategies as well as the capacity to run their farm on their own land.

In addition to growing food and farmers, New School Farm also offers classes for the community to learn sustainable home gardening,

tree maintenance, composting and more.

As we grow, so will our classes! If there’s something you want to learn let us know. Community Classes help to keep New School Farm farmin’.
